Hey guys, just discovered this great app/add. Is there a possibility to add http://www.hyves.nl to it?
Cheers

Thanks Rutger. We'll consider this for future versions.

yeah i agree with him
Using Yoono makes my internet live a lot easier only by opening my internet browser i can review all my social networks.
it would be nice if Hyves and Linked in are added to :)-
Totally. We'll be adding some new networks shortly.

It looks like you're pretty passionate about this.

Hello,
Great program! Makes life a lot easier. Is it possible to ad Hyves? It's the most popular social network in the Netherlands!
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
Hyves.-
I merged this topic with an existing one for Hyves. I hope this helps keep things organized.

Ok guys, here's the deal :
Garantee us that all 9 million people on Hyves will use Yoono, and we'll add Hyves support to Yoono.
How does that sound ?-
Would 10% of that do? I will spread the word!
-
-
-
-
-
Why? Because all (ALL!!) Twitter-users use Yoono?
-
Thanks for the reply. We were only kidding around and being funny.
-
-
Haha, I know!
-

-
-
-
I know I would use it, that's already one person...
Please add Hyves support!-
Thanks!!!!!

Then I wil be the second person to use Hyves with Yoono.

Haha. Thanks!

Keep counting, one more here!
But seriously, lots of dutch people use the english social sites as well as hyves. Yoono will probably only become interesting as soon as hyves will be supported, not the other way around.. ;-) -

Hi Dave!
I suspect there is some kind of plot going on here :)
Even more popular networks don't get that many demands...
Well, it sure looks like you won't say no for an answer (not that we ever intended to say no!).
We've many things going on, but we've taken a look at the Hyves API (the set of commands available to third party software like Yoono), and it looks rather complete, which is great.
Now, it's a matter of priorities and available resources, and we'll see what we can do!
Thanks for all this enthusiasm! -
-
-
-
But seriously...
I have been looking for an desktop app for a long period of time now, I never found a good application which connects to Hyves.
So if you connect to Hyves, you would be the first to connect the dutch users to their favorite social community, along with big communities like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
I seriously think a lot of dutch people would be interested! I also think that the current Yoono users who support this idea, should advertise for Yoono on Hyves!
I will! -
-
Oh but it's not that we would not like to do it right away!
It's just that we're all busy on several other very important things...
Thanks for your patience. -
-
I fully understand. You must set priorities. I'm just trying to show my appreciation for you taking it in serious consideration!
-
-
I'll also use yoono for all my social networks. And hyves is the number 1 social network in the Netherlands. It has much more applets then facebook. And you can also synchronise hyves with twitter, linkind, facebook etc.
I told all my friends about yoono. But they all miss the social network Hyves.nl -

Hi again,
I *hope* you are not suggesting we only can do easy things... ;)
Well, it's not a matter of how hard it is, it's just a matter of time vs resources.
You would be surprised on how many things we are working right now, and how few we are... I myself am surprised every day... -

Hi as a Yoono and Hyves user I'd really like to have Hyves access from Yoono. Is it possible to give us more insight into a timeline?
-
-
Hi,
Sorry, not at this point.
We have many things going on, a few more networks almost ready, and we have limited resources.
Thanks for your support and patience! -
-
Not to be annoying, I really do understand you have limited resources and so on... But you're saying for the past 9 months that you are busy with other networks and you will release a few networks soon. But I do not consider 9 months a "soon" timeline. And I didn't see a lot of new networks being added...
I would really appreciate if you could give us a little insight in what is going on at the moment. What are you developing? -
-
Hi Roel
No need to getting edgy.
We are not only working on other networks.
And we did not write "soon" in this thread about releasing new networks.
We just released the Youtube network yesterday. It was a lot of work, and a very high priority for us (we put other networks on hold to add this one).
In the past year, we released a Desktop Application for the main 3 existing platforms, an extension for Google Chrome (still some work on this), we are working on the iPhone version (very high priority too), we are fixing bugs, working on bugs that we can't yet fix but are still time consuming, answering edgy users requests, dealing with Facebook ceaseless API changes, and working on ultra secret projects that should make us masters of the world.
We've also been working on internationalization of Yoono, which is since yesterday available in 7 languages, and which should soon be available in Dutch (it's 93% translated). We got (and still get) a lot of help from non-edgy worldwide users for that, which was wonderful.
You have (likely...) more fingers on one hand than we have developers, and besides, it's been 11 months (and not 9) that we've been saying "we'll consider" in a future version, the keyword here being "consider".
Other networks we are working on are Yammer, Foursquare, and Google Buzz.
Unlike some of our competitors, it's not a priority for us to integrate as many networks as possible, we want to integrate each network as best as possible.
Which means, we keep working on networks we have added. Twitter for instance released new APIs that will allow us to provide a better experience, but will need a lot rewriting, and that will likely have a higher priority than adding new networks.
So, this is why I can't say when (or if) we will release Hyves in a near or far future.
Thanks for your understanding. -

-
You tell that to my friends on Hyves... If all my friend left Hyves and join -let's say- Facebook, I would consider leaving.
@Reivax: Are you saying you are still considering adding Hyves? Can you tell me what the deciding points are to add a (random) network or not? -
-
I'm saying we did not rule out anything, but we have other priorities right now.
I can't tell you the deciding points, we don't really have a checklist, but one could assume that a "country focused" network has less chances to be integrated that something more international.
The number of users is not the main thing to consider. There's also the "trendiness", originality, usage, potential, etc...
This is not an exact science. -
-
Quote Reivax: "and working on ultra secret projects that should make us masters of the world."
That must be the HYVES implementation!!!!
Hyves breached the 10 million users recently and have added paying functionality to their system. Hyves is considered as a big compatitor to PayPal and iDeal (popular Dutch payment service). Hyves is not just a network. It's as big as the other popular networks!
Maybe it's a better idea to have an open-framework where the community can create a network-implementation on. I would try to get a Hyves implementation there! -
-
Reivax, you are right! I would very much like Hyves integration, but I can understand that Hyves is not a high priority network (10 mil. users).
Facebook (400+ million), Twitter (est 18 mil.), youtube (proberly more then a billion) and a plan to take over the world (Narf!) must have higher priority.
Just curious, what generated your income? I never see any advertisements...
And to you Dutch guys here, have patience or build something yourself.
@Bastiaan open-framework would be nice, but only if add-ons are tested and validated, else you will get a lot of shitty add-ons. -
-
-
-
Reivax: Keep up the good work! I recently added Yoono to Firefox again, because of LinkedIn. Only one missing: Hyves (what are the odds in this topic)
Dutch people, are like sheep, if one is using Yoono, everyone wants to use it. But without Hyves, (with 10 milion people, that's 70% of all dutch citizens), I don't think many dutch people use this application/addon. So if you want to expand fast: Add Hyves ;-) -
-
Another one: Add Hyves to Yoono.
Hyves kickes ass and Yoono too.
Keep up the good work!! -

Please add Hyves. Wie wat waar. (who, what, where)

It's like the status as on Facebook. -

Hyves (or just generic Jabber protocol which also works for hyves...)
I would be happy -
-
-
-
Please add Hyves, already more than 10 miljoen users! Yoono is better than the others apps like Hootsuite.
-
Thanks we totally agree on your last point, but unfortunately we don't have the resources to add Hyves for now :(
-
-
-
-
-
@Reivax, tell us what resources you would need to do add it, maybe there is a way!
-
-
The only way would be to find an investor ready to invest in Yoono enough for at least one year including an increase in the development team...
Please contact partners@yoono.com for more information. -

Full API is provided at http://www.hyves-developers.nl/versio...
+1
I’m confident -

Let's hope that you can add Hyves, most popular Social Network in the Netherlands. Yoono rocks, got all my social networks in my browser (except from hyves). It's awesome.
-
-
-
-
It would be verry great to link Yoono with Hyves, because Hyves is verry great in Holland, and it is a great thing for Yoono !!!!!!!
-
-
Hi Richard,
Thanks for supporting the idea.
Unfortunately we are not adding any new network to Yoono for now.
When (if) we do I guess it'll likely be Google+ first :)
Thanks for your understanding. -
