Error:"Sorry, Facebook appears to be down..." Reconnects after retry only to go down soon after
I have searched through the treads for this question on yoono and google it is everywhere. My Facebook account about every min or so is giving me the error message "Sorry, Facebook appears to be down..." The picture of the error is below. I click retry and it connects me for a short period of time. The other treads and FAQ on your website tell me to uninstall reinstall the application in Facebook and the addon in Mozilla then reload them all. To make sure the keep me logged in check box on the facebook login screen is click. (By this I think they mean the remember me check box, because I see no other.) I followed all the advise with no luck.

Inappropriate?Hi Kyle. I'm experiencing the same issue as well. Facebook & Twitter both are services that often experience downtime through their API so I can't pinpoint the issue right now. You did all of the right things but, currently we are experiencing issues with Facebook.
I'm hoping it is resolved soon.

Inappropriate? The company says... The company marked... ???
The 'company' seems to be Yoono, or am I getting this wrong? Whoever might be responsable for this crap, Yoono or Facebook or what else, you CANNOT SAY THAT IT IS SOLVED if the issues are still there every day. Have you ever thought of COOPERATING (i.e. Yoono with Facebook and even with Mozilla to be precise!) instead of handing responsability back and forth between each other???
It is no solution to ask your users to uninstall/reinstall Facebook/Yoono/Firefox or to logout/login from one or the other all the time. Users just EXPECT an application /addon that simply WORKS after installing and logging in, everything else is nonsense. Did you get the point?
My email is: eckard.pfeifer@gmx.net, but I don't really expect something in my inbox that might help to finally have a Yoono feature that is working as expected. I am using it with Firefox 3.0.14 on Xubuntu 9.04 (NOT updating to 3.5.3 because of some other add-ons not yet updated either), and it would be a really nice feature if only Facebook would do as expected (there are no issues with MySpace, Twitter and Flickr). By the way, I never got Yoono running altogether in Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP machine, I have GIVEN UP all my efforts as they're just a waste of time.
There will be NO Sincerely or whatever at this end as I am really pissed off. I can understand if there are minor issues for a day or two. But it's just NOT OKAY to have the same problems for weeks, without anybody solving them.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Eckard - thanks for the feedback. This topic is marked answered simply because Adam, a company employee as noted on his pic, responded. That's how Get Satisfaction works, for better or worse. The issue is not resolved and we are actively working on it. There were several facebook connection problems that were fixed in our last release (6.2.1). If you are running that and the problems were not resolved there are several things to note:
- Facebook itself has a problem periodically expiring sessions for third party apps (we are not the only app affected) and it is a bug Facebook is actively looking at. We have given them as much info as we can to help them solve the problem.
- It's also possible of course there is a bug in Yoono. You can help us diagnose and fix this by following the instructions here on Get Satisfaction for running a debug build and sending us a log file: http://bit.ly/LadRp
Appreciate your help. I can assure you that we want to fix this even more than you do.
