1. You can disable discovery links by locating the magnifying glass at the bottom right hand corner of Firefox. Click this and uncheck, "enable discovery links" and this will disable that feature.
If you've tried this and it's not working I'd be happy to follow next steps to get this resolved.

Inappropriate?Still no one from Yoono has replied.
I have disabled this addon and will uninstall it just because of this search with yoono nuisance.
I’m frustrated

This weekend was a holiday weekend in our support offices and many team members were unavailable. I apologize if our response time wasn't adequate and we'll strive to do better in the future. -

Inappropriate?Actually, i did disable the Magnifying glass and it was showing a diagonal line on it.
Even then, the popup did not get disabled. It was messing with Firebug Addon as well.
So I finally went ahead and uninstalled. I wont install it till this bug is fixed, its very annoying.
I’m sad

Thanks Ibn for the honest feedback. At this time, this isn't a known bug and I've been unable to replicate it but I trust you are having this issue. I can't resolve the issue without more information / testing from you.
If you'd rather not worry about it then, that's okay. We will be releasing a new version with bug fixes soon and that may resolve it.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Thanks Adam for getting back.
I am using Firefox 3.5 stable release. I was using Yoono 6.1.0 version. -
Inappropriate?Hi Adam,
I can disable the discovery links the way you described. But I and I think also Ibn are talking about the popup showing a magnifying glass that is shown when I select something in the Browser (see the pic I added). This was introduced with the latest update, discovery links where introduced much earlier. I hope this helps.

Inappropriate?I will get a fix for you guys and come back. To my knowledge this is a new feature of 6.1 but please stand-by so I can update you with the correct information.
-
Thanks Adam, this really helps. Ill wait for the fix and the update. -
Inappropriate? This has been happening for me too with Yoono 6.1.1 on Firefox 3.5. I have removed the Discovery widget and have unchecked all of the options in the status bar, but that search feature still persists.
I’m annoyed

Inappropriate?Yes, its a bug. I think they are working on a solution.

Inappropriate?I used AdBlock Plus to block the "Magnifying Glass" image from showing up.
It's not a perfect solution, but it does the trick.
1. Install AdBlock Plus
2. On a webpage, Highlight some text (This should trigger the "Magnifying Glass")
3. Right Click on the Magnifying Glass and press "AdBlock Image"
4. Press Ok on the next menu
5. Reload the Page and test it out.
Note: You can download AdBlock Here:

lol Excellent temporary solution. Love it. -
Thanks for this work around. It sounds like Yoono is working on an official fix, but in the meantime this does the trick. -
You are my hero! -
Inappropriate?I waited for a fix, and not getting any official fix from Yoono , i have finally uninstalled Yoono permanently.
I wont be using it anymore.
I’m happy
-
Ibn. The fix is not available yet. Thanks for the feedback and I hope you'll try Yoono again soon. -
Inappropriate?Hello Adam
Thanks for the reply
The reason I uninstalled it was because i was using Yoono mainly because of the Mail Integration with my Gmail.
I dont like to go to gmail.com and login to my account and view my emails. I used to use Opera's mail client, which is wonderful but it does not have Firebug etc.
So i had to settle for Firefox, but when i got the above problem with Yoono, i started to search for a Mail Client for Firefox. I found it, Simple Mail. It works brilliantly.
So thats the reason, i finally decided to uninstall Yoono as it was the mail part which kept me hooked to it.
Sorry to say this, but i wont be coming back to Yoono.
Thank you for your time and a good product.
I’m thankful

Thank you for your time as well.
Our mail widget is in very early beta and not meant to compete with another service at this time. We're always improving it and I have a feeling many of your dissatisfaction will be resolved in the coming months.
