New Mail Indicator
The email widget would be far more helpful for me if I didn't have to click it to see that new messages have arrived. Something as simple as a new mail indicator on the widget icon is all I'm looking for. With that enhancement I wouldn't have to click my mail icon just to see I have nothing new, or get lost on facebook and fail to notice that important message I've been waiting for, etc.

Inappropriate?Thank you Milton for submitting this idea. The mail widget itself is currently in beta and operates on a basic level by simply embedding the mobile version of that mail service (just as if you had visited Gmail or Yahoo from your iPhone or Blackberry).
Notifications are a bit of a challenge at this time but we're always working to improve the service. I'm keeping this topic open so other users can vote on this feature but I agree that this would be valuable for all users of the email widget. Thanks again!
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? You could probably do it just by hooking up Gmail's RSS feed ( mail.google.com/mail/feed/atom ) to the existing popup system. That would rule. I could ditch a whole 'nother Firefox extention because of Yoono if you did that!
I’m excited

Totally agree. We have a current list of bugs that we're squashing and a few little "treats" that will be coming out in 6.1. I'll see to it that this is added to the feature request list and I hope it is included. I agree that getting rid of Gmail Notifier would be a great value to many of our users.
As always, thanks for the suggestions bill. -
Inappropriate?Yes, the email widget could really use some improvements. You guys can do better than just a mobile version of your inbox!
I’m excited

Thanks Warfang. That widget is in beta but we're working to improve every aspect of Yoono. -
Inappropriate?Oh yes that would be great. A real-time email notifier? That'd be a great addition to Yoono.
I’m Excited!

Totally agreed. Maybe we'll work on this. Can't say yes or no yet as you understand. -
Inappropriate? It could be wery usefull indeed :), I'm wainting for it with impatience
-
Thanks for the reply. -
Inappropriate?I would also love to have that!
Not having any indication whatsoever that a new email is in my inbox is a bit of a problem...
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? No, it does absolutely nothing at all!!
I am using hotmail and gmail.
With hotmail I do not even see the number of incoming emails in the notification, but at least I can manually refresh by clicking on the hotmail button.
With gmail I have not found a way to check manually for new emails.
As you see in the image, I have 4 new emails, but no notification and no flashing (which you wouldn't see anyway:))
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?ok thanks, I'll look into that problem!
-
Inappropriate?Hey, you know what, I think I found what the problem is.
The default refreshing period is about 10 minutes I guess.
So if you wait long enough, mails will be refreshed, and the icon will blink! (I just had it blink)
You can change that to 2 minutes. Click on the wrench tool while the mail widget is displayed, and click on Options.
Let me know... -
Inappropriate?Hmm, no, I do not think this is a problem...
1. I had changed that already to 2 minutes and I have waited way more than that.
2. From the picture I have included above you can see that the emails are there, unread, just not indicated.
Thanks anyway:) -
Inappropriate?I noticed this directly as well, that there is no indicator when you get new email.
I only saw the flashing 1 time, after that haven't seen it anymore after i receive new emails.
Hope this get fixed wit the next update.
Other than that, this plugin rocks.
Was using digsby before but have already uninstalled it when i found this plugin.
Keep up the good work. :) -
Thanks Tom. We're always improving aspects and mail does need more work. -
Inappropriate?it seems that the refresh time does not work in windows live email.
I've set it to 2 min but i need to refresh it manually to see my email.
Just thought i gave you guys the heads up on that too.
Looking forward to better email support. ;)
Thx for the reply. -
Yes, I am as well. The email widget is in beta and it needs to be improved as we hold our "non-beta" products to very high esteem.
