Sidebar not showing up.
One day when I went onto Firefox, my yoono sidebar looked like it was missing. When I clicked on the left side of the window it would appear, so I tried to go and see my messages. But, when I clicked on the icon to show the sidebar it would all disappear again.
I had to uninstall the add-on, but if there is a way to fix this problem I will re-install it.

Thanks for reporting your issue. From your description it seems like you may be having trouble with the behavior of opening/minimizing/closing the sidebar. Here is a blog post we did awhile back explaining some of this:
http://blog.yoono.com/2009/07/yoono-c...
Does that make it clearer and address your problem? From your message it sounded like you were expecting clicking on the Yoono icon in your browser toolbar to open the updates. That button actually closes and re-opens the sidebar completely. Let us know if we are misunderstanding your issue! -
I was not clicking on the Yoono button in the toolbar area. I was clicking on the little icon on the sidebar that looks like the Yoono symbol. The one you click to open up where your updates are, or choose between where you want to look ( myspace, facebook, msn, etc....). I realize that button in the toolbar closes it. I am one of few that reads the webpages and the options and all of that good stuff. -

Inappropriate?Hi Ashley - thanks for the clarification. Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling Yoono? I have not seen the particular issue you're talking about. Also, make sure you have the latest version of both Firefox and Yoono. If that doesn't help, let us know!
-
I did uninstall it and I just re-installed it about five minutes ago. I am still having the problem. The sidebar shows up for about two seconds and then disappears like it is not even there. If I click on the button in the toolbar area twice it comes back up, but only to go away again. I just got the new Firefox... but is there a special place you have to go to get the Yoono update? -
You can first check which version of Yoono you are running by going to Tools>Add-ons. The current version of Yoono is 6.2.1. If you are running an earlier version, just click "Find Updates" at the bottom of the add-ons window. If you are running the latest version, let me know and I'd like you to run a special debug build of Yoono that will help us diagnose the problem. -
i am running the Yoono 6.2.1. -
Ok, thanks for checking Ashley. If you could install our debug build and follow the instructions to send us your log files it would be a big help for us. I'm hoping this will provide us some data that will enable us to diagnose the issue. You can find all the instructions and link to this special build here:

I know the post looks like it is about connection issues but following this process will also give us data that should help us with your problem. Appreciate your help - let us know if you have any problems with the process! -
Okay. I did all of that. Now what? -
Inappropriate? My problem is similar, but instead of just the sidebar disappearing, the icon on my toolbar/browser bar is gone too. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and I get less than Ashley did. It shows up in my FF addons (the Options tab is grayed out -- don't know if that's normal or not), but is nowhere to be seen on my computer. I haven't tried it on my desktop yet. I like it in the browser.

Hi Brenda. This is an unusual issue. I'd love to help you resolve it.
So you're using the Firefox add-on. Are you running the latest version? Go to the Tools / Add-Ons window and check for updates then restart Firefox.
It may also be a good idea to disable any custom theme you're using and switch to the default theme as some themes cause issues with that.
Let me know what happens and I'll move forward with more testing. Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Hi, Adam. I didn't get a chance to play with this yesterday. I had changed FF themes, but I lost the sidebar the evening before, if that helps at all, using Red Cat theme, which is what I used the entire time I'd been using Yoono. I have the latest version.
Well, this morning, I turned on the computer, and my sidebar is back! I don't know why or how, but I'm very happy to have it again. This is a great feature! Thank you for looking into this for me.

Haha! That's great news. It may happen again though so just let me know when it does so I can help you out. I'm glad you're starting the week with a fresh browser look!
Have a good night. -
Inappropriate?Well, it has. The next morning, it had disappeared again. I haven't totally restarted the computer since then. If it doesn't magically appear after that, I'll let you know.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I think I have figured out a workaround. I have firefox at home and at work. At work I have the same version of firefox running on XP, but at home I have vista. I don't have this issue with XP, but I do have the problem with Vista. My sidebar would vanish instantly. I could bring it back with a control-alt-Y or clicking the button, but it would just flash and be gone again. I tried rebooting the computer and all it did for me was remove the little yoono button.
This is what fixed the problem for me. I installed another addon called All-in-one sidebar. It forced the yoono side bar to stay put. You can re add the Yoono button by just re-adding it to the bar. So far so good. :)
Penelope.
I’m happy.

Hmm. Thanks for adding this. I'll look into your solution. -
Inappropriate? Thanks, Penelope. It came back again today. I'm on XP. I'll try that all-in-one sidebar if I wake up tomorrow to find it gone again.
Thanks again!
