For the last 3 days Yoono has not been updating my Facebook. My twitter and YouTube update normally but not the Facebook. I do not get any error messages but I just deleted and tried to reactivate my Facebook account and I get this message "The service Facebook has reached the maximum allowed requests. Please retry later."

Hi Michele - yes, facebook recently started "throttling" or limiting the calls that third party apps like Yoono can make in a given time period. As our userbase has grown we have started reaching some of those limits. We have adjusted newer versions of our app to reduce the number of calls but we need to have most of our userbase upgrade before we should see a difference. Please make sure you are using the latest version (always available on our website). Also, this throttling is intermittent so trying again later should work.

Weird thing is I get the response items in my FB stream but not the actual updates. Updated to the latest Yoono FF extension but not seeing any diff.

Could you be more elaborate? You installed the latest version of Yoono for Firefox (7.3.7). but you are still not receiving any new updates from Facebook?

I'm seeing something similar with the latest yoono on chrome: Facebook replies (comments) made to status messages do not always show up in yoono. If I look at the regular, web-based FB news feed, I see my friends' status posts and any associated comments. If I look at the FB news on yoono, I see the status posts, but many of the comments are missing. It's like only half or less are making it to yoono.
Also, how are we supposed to retry? Hit the browser "refresh" button? Yoono's competition often has an "update" or "sync" button, but yoono (web) doesn't seem to have one.-

We need to include some sort of manual "fetch" mechanism to compensate for Facebook's limitations. It's on the todo list but not implemented yet. -

None of these answers help much. Both Facebook and LinkedIn stopped completely. I deleted and reinstalled Yoono and they started up again, but have again stopped. LinkedIn started working again. Facebook seems to give me updates that I don't get on my browser, and my browser gives me other updates.
I really like Yoono, but not this much. Is this getting fixed or can you recommend an alternative app?-
Since this is a Firefox thread, I am assuming you are running Yoono for Firefox? If so, did you install our latest version available on our website?

I hope this gets fixed, as I like yoono's interface the best.
That said, yoono's closest competitors seem to be seesmic and tweetdeck. Seesmic seems to be OK, but I've found tweetdeck to have FB issues, too (and I *hate* the iPhone version of tweetdeck). -

We chose google simply as the default home page for the built in preview browser in Yoono Desktop. Over time we will change this to actually show some cool new Yoono related functionality - stay tuned!

My facebook part hadn't updated on Yoono for Firefox in 16 days. Deleted and re-added this morning and it updated once. Now it hasn't been working for a few hours again. Frustrating.

I've had this same problem for a day, but after updating to version 7.4.2, the problem disappeared and now I'm enjoying Yoono again :)

Some days ago, I got a message to upgrade de Yoono Extension for Firefox, which I did, but it didn't solve the updates-problem.
After reading the comment of zdravkag, I checked the version and it was 7.4.1..
Therefore I installed te version of the Yoono site and now (with 7.4.2) it is working.
When came 7.4.2 to the public and why is Firefox not automatically updating this extension (others are regular updated)?

Hi Roy,
The main issue was that when we release a new version and submit it to Mozilla repository, we have no way of knowing how long it will take them to review it before it becomes public and is then automatically displayed as an available new release.
It can take one day to more than a week depending on how much work they have (and they usually have a lot). -
