Inappropriate?Hi Tommy. So I haven't seen this issue before. Basically, it's like Yoono isn't remembering if it was open or closed when you restart Firefox, right?
Are other preferences like networks and saved searches being remembered / stored?
-
Hi Adam! It seems like other preferences are being stored. I have other add-ons like webmail notifier and download helper which are always there when i open firefox. Do you think it could have something to do with ccleaner which i use regularly? -
That's an excellent point. i'm on Mac but my Vista box at home is almost like a new PC when I run CCleaner.
So perhaps, if possible try it w/o running CCleaner or try it on a separate PC that you have lying around.
we can run a debug tool if that problem persists. -
When i go to tools, extensions - its there. I have tried to turn it off and then on again, and restart firefox. But it is still not there. Now i have downloaded yoono desk top ;-) but it was better to have it on left side in browser. Maybe i should try to download it again?? -
Perhaps. The issues you're having aren't normal at all so there's certainly something going on. It appears like your system isn't allowing Firefox to remember the Yoono settings when you shut it down (window placement, options) but I don't know what's doing that exactly.
We could test by creating a new profile in Firefox (saving the old one of course) and installing yoono into that profile, setting it up and then restarting
You can follow those instructions here http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/M... -
it is working very well in the profile i created, but still it is not there most of the time in my "old" profile. -
I see. Well that is good to know that it's a profile issue and not Yoono / Firefox issue.
I'm not quite sure what to say to get this fixed. Will forward on to an engineer and see what they think. -
Inappropriate?Tommy. Based on our tests in the past, this only means a corrupted firefox profile. This is more common than many think and creating a new one is the only way to recover. You'll have to import your bookmarks from the old account but it's a pretty easy process to do.
