Yonoo plugin for IE8 on VISTA and WINDOWS7 is crashing!
Just downloaded and installed Yonoo add-in for IE8 on two of my computers (PC with 32bit Windows 7 and PC with 64bit Vista. BOTH computers are giving error messages after installing and it tries to run IE8... keeps saying, over and over again: "Yonoo for Internet Explorer stopped working." I understand its not working on 64bit systems yet, but what about other systems? Also, I tried downloading Firefox and the Yonoo add-in, it works fine. But I want IE8 for job reasons.

Inappropriate?Hello. Correct, 64-bit support is not there yet. However, that error your receiving shouldn't be happening on 32-bit window on IE8.
Yoono for Internet Explorer is still in beta so we will try to help resolve the issue, but it hasn't bee tested enough to the point where we would remove the beta tag.
It may be worth it to try Yoono Desktop for Windows. as it is still only 32 bit but is a bit more solid than our version for Internet Explorer.

OK, really not interested in yet another proggy to be installed. I was ok with the IE plugin/addon but not a separate program installation. So, can u help resolve the issue with 32-bit Windows Vista and 32-bit Windows7 problem with the plugion for IE8? Where do we begin??? -
Inappropriate?Hello, I'll need to look at your log files which you'll have to activate. I understand if this is a bit much for you with no guarantee of success.
In case you want to try it:
-activate your log files by copying the following lines into a file :
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yoono\ini]
"log-level"="5"
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AppDataLow\Yoono\ini]
"log-level"="5"
.. call the file log.reg. Then click twice on it to add a couple of things to your register.
Then run IE, get the error message, close IE and go to where the log files are.
on my computer it's :
C:\Users\John\AppData\LocalLow\Yoono
Change the John to whatever the appropriate value is for your computer.
Can you send me all these files zipped ? jdugdale <at> yoono.com.
Otherwise try just sending me the file log.ap.txt
Thanks for your help, I understand if this is all too much.</at> -
do you want me to do this with the Windows 7 32bit install or the Windows Vista 64bit install? Another thought: Can I do a 32bit install on the Vitsa 64bit computer? -
Inappropriate?Windows 7 32-bit please.
We haven't tested this beta version on win64, the only installer is therefore one which has been used on windows 32bit. -
Inappropriate?Yoono for Internet Explorer development by Yoono has been temporarily paused. While we expect to continue making improvements in the future, at this time we strongly recommend you upgrade to Yoono Desktop for Windows which has all the latest performance, stability, and feature enhancements.
