Yoono not connecting to social networking sites.
Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace are not connecting. This problem is long term, going on for about a week. Seems to be after I updated firefox. Could be something else.

Inappropriate?Hello Alex. Are you using firefox? Have you ever had connection issues in the past? And you mention this has happened for a week now and you've had zero luck with connecting?
I can take you through a few test steps but this info would be helpful.

Inappropriate?I have Firefox 3.5.2. I have not had connection issues in the past. And I have not been able to connect to facebook, myspace, or twitter for over a week. The only thing that works for me is gtalk and windows messenger. It say's:
Unable to connect to Facebook. Your Facebook session has expired. To try to reconnect now, click Retry.
I click "Retry" and it opens a new tab that displays:
You may now close this window and return to the application.
But Yoono never connects. I just get another error message. -
Inappropriate?i just downloaded the firefox yoono gadget... connected it with my facebook, flickr, yahoo messenger, google talk, and windows live...
...BUT, i have not been able to add my Myspace or Twitter accounts yet...
so far, every time i try to add my account, it says "Error - check your login or try again later" before i even put in any login information...
below that it will say "Connecting to the service..." but it never does...
it eventually tells me "The server is not responding. Please try again later."
and i keep trying again later... as the message suggests... but it is not connecting.
I’m tired of this problem and considering going to another service

I know this will seem like a dumb question but are you able to go to Twitter.com and Facebook.com from within Yoono?
Also, please go to the Mozilla Firefox Add-Ons Windows and "check for updates" to make sure you're running the latest version of Yoono.
You may have to reinstall it to resolve these issues but let's work through the first two lines to see if we can get it fixed w/o having to do that. -
Inappropriate?no, i am not able to go to either of those sites from within yoono...
i know that usually when you add a service... the page in the browser will go to the right page to add that to the service... but whenever i try to add either of those, my browser page stays the same...
as for the add ons... i have done that already, and i have the latest version of yoono. i just checked for updates again... and i still have the latest version...
i'm thinking i might have to reinstall then... right? -

Inappropriate?yes... i can type in myspace.com and twitter.com in the address bar and access them this way... but doing this sortof defeats the purpose of using yoono.

Totally. It was just important that we narrow down that you can at least reach those sites from your computer that they were "available"
Is it a possibility for you to follow the steps here for the sidebar firefox version so we can find out exactly why you're not able to connect?

Inappropriate?I have had the same problem as you. This may not be anything related to what you are or have experienced, but the solution I found was to download the debug version (found in the link above this post), and then enable cookies in firefox (done by going to Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Enable History) and finally logging into facebook to authorize the application. I'm sorry if this doesn't apply in your instance, but I came across this topic because of the problem I have had; and I am sure others will if they are having the same problem.

Inappropriate?well actually i did all that... got it to work, and then it started doing it again like two days later...
both the firefox plugin and the desktop app do the same thing...
It shouldnt be this difficult to set up yoono... i could understand if i couldn't log in because of human error or something like that... but for the plugin to not work right from the start, and to have to go through this long tedious process just to get it to work and THEN only to have it go back to doing the same annoying thing is just... well, it makes me want to look for alternative programs and plugins and services that do what you do...
i'm really tired of this runaround, just to get the program to be how it should be from the very beginning...

Inappropriate?oh wait... i just updated my system to window 7, and miraculously IT WORKS!... the problem has gone away...
consider yourselves VERY lucky... things might not have gone so well... i might have found an alternative program before i gave your app another chance...
all is good in the hood now though...

Hi Kurt. Just as I was typing that you should upgrade to Yoono 7, I saw this 2nd reply.
We did TONS of improvements on the back end to Yoono 7 so most of these issues have been resolved.

Inappropriate?I did everything M. Fuller suggested to no avail. I have 3 twitter accounts showing up but can't get my facebook going. It says that Yoono is now connected to Facebook in my window. Next to that window the Yoono 7 box briefly shows a green arrow but then quickly changes to a red message, "The service Facebook didn't reply correctly. Try again later." I can, However log in to Facebook and see that Yoono 7 is in my list of addons and it does have full permissions. Any reason Facebook doesn't want to talk to Yoono after accepting it? I will try again later but I'm not optimistic since Facebook seems to be working just fine.
